Place Makes All The Difference…

  • The Corn Crib Cottage

A three-bedroom cottage that used to operate as a barn and corn crib. The cottage is equipped with a cozy living room, kitchen, office, full bath, and three bedrooms.

  • A white barn surrounded by trees and greenery, with shadows cast on the lawn.

    The Studio Barn

A restored four-season barn. The top floor studio space is equipped with desks, lounge seating, electrical outlets, overhead lighting, ceiling fans and a wood burning stove.

  • White house with a porch surrounded by green trees and lawn.

    The Farmhouse

This four bedroom main house is the original Walhalla farmhouse. It has been lovingly restored and maintained over the years. A vibrant space for dinner gatherings, work and creative collaboration.

Spaces in Progress…

  • White barn surrounded by green lawn and trees under a cloudy sky

    The Dairy Barn

We have big plans for the dairy barn. It’s a space brimming with possibilities with an expansive 7,000 square feet. The top floor is perfect for large-scale work, rehearsals and performances. The first floor will eventually house a theater lobby, four artist studios, as well as a New Roots staff office.

  • Interior of a rustic wooden barn with hay bales, a wood stove with a chimney emitting smoke, and a small child dressed in purple outside in a snowy yard.

    The Sugar Shack

Our Sugar Shack plans are two-fold: part arts studio, part sugaring operation. Along with a sustainable garden, Walhalla Farm has been making Maple Syrup from Maple trees on our seven acre farm with a simple evaporator and sap buckets! Check out our plans for a sugar shack remodel and upgrade. There will be Art & Maple Syrup gatherings in the near future!

  • Interior of an old wooden barn with rough wooden beams and walls.

    The Hay Barn

One of our most exciting projects! The Wood-Working Studio will make it’s home in a 1500 square foot Hay Barn, located near the Studio Barn. The Hay Barn is in need of major repair, as it’s been neglected for over 25 years. It is a historic post and beam barn that we plan to lovingly restore under the guidance of a master barn renovator.

The Lands

Walhalla’s seven acres are full of apple trees and possibilities…

We’ve spent the last two years clearing over-growth and paving the way for thoughtful landscape design. Check out where we are and where we plan to go with preliminary designs from Shanti Nagel and Design Wild.
