This is a kid friendly drop-in event! One of our main build projects this summer is upgrading our sugar shack. Come by the farm, see the progress, hang out, taste last seasons syrup and lend a hand as we raise the sugar shack.

The Sugar Shack is a project near and dear to us, as our family loves boiling in the mud season. Although, we are going to remain a small-family style-backyard-tapping-operation, over the last two years, we’ve upgraded our tapping and boiling process and now we want to share the sweet love with our neighbors in a beautiful setting.

This build project will be central to a new yearly Spring event at Walhalla, Maple Mayhem: A maple and music jam session. A community gathering around the boiling sap, while we dance and listen to invited musicians, who are visiting artists at the farm working on new music.

But wait! We have even BIGGER plans for this space! Walhalla Farm is hard at work trying to raise funds so that during the summer months, the Sugar Shack can transform into a ceramics studio. In the future, we hope to offer community workshops and events around visiting ceramists.
